What is VivoBiome?

VivoBiome is Vivobarefoot's innovation platform, building a new way to make footwear: personalised, made on demand and low waste.

We're guided by four principles: made to order, made to measure, made locally and made to be remade.

Personalised design: our computational design platform shapes footwear from individual foot scans
Best in class barefoot: as close to natural barefoot as possible
On demand production: making only what's needed, when it's needed, with manufacturing that can move closer to you over time

We're starting with two ranges. Bespoke footwear is made to measure from a scan of your feet and 3D printed to order. Sized footwear is made in standard sizes using 3D bonding process.

We're on a journey and we're not there yet. We're starting small so we can learn, refine and build this properly. With each release, and with your support, we'll work towards made locally and made to be remade.

How is VivoBiome different from Vivobarefoot?

Vivobarefoot makes barefoot footwear at scale, in standard sizes, in conventional shoe factories. VivoBiome is Vivobarefoot's innovation platform, exploring new ways to make footwear on demand, with less waste.

VivoBiome has two ranges:

Bespoke: made to measure from a scan of your feet and 3D printed to order. The Tabi Gen 02 sandal is the first style.
Sized: the Motus 3D Bonded trainer, currently made in standard sizes using 3D bonding process.

Same barefoot philosophy, a fundamentally different way of making footwear.
